Evey and I were great friends for many years. I lived on Barrett Road and she lived on Ellis Road, just two streets apart. After school, we'd go to the corner store, buy a couple of cokes and pickles from the wooden barrel and do our homework together. I miss those days. Things were simpler then. I stopped by Clemens Market in Blue Bell to visit her before I moved to Florida to say goodbye. We lost touch after that, but I never forgot that smile of hers.
